About Which French Holidays

This text may be useful if you need to market and advertise your property in France
Which French Holidays started life as an adjunct to Which French Words. It was originally intended as a marketing support tool. That is people who needed to learn to speak French were students and adults who were thinking of moving to work or taking French holidays. The way to reach the holidaying public was to provide a low cost effective service that they would find easy to use.
As soon as we started designing the outline of Which French Holidays it became clear that we would have to think more clearly.
We started by doing our own homework and research.
A simple directory listing cottages was nowhere to be found.
Our own experience had shown us that there are many people who use internet search engines rather than use advertisements.
These people are our target audience.
It also became clear right at the start that although we were providing a low cost simple effective service putting tourists in touch with French property owners the product would actually have its own momentum.
What became obvious was that the demand existed for Which French Holidays as a marketing & advertising product in its own right.
Therefore we had to ensure the design was both professional and effective for tourists and owners alike.
We also ensured that the design was such that the product would become increasingly effective as it grew in size.
Here we mean that the addition of each property, with its description and location, increases the search ranking on a wider range of place names.
What we did not realise at the very beginning, but most certainly do now, was quite how complementary the two separate products of cottage rental and bed and breakfast are.
It seems self evident now that bed & breakfast providers, because they have shorter stays, need to attract many more people than cottage villa or gite owners.
They must, however, do this by using a diverse range of low cost promotion marketing and advertising.
For all bed and breakfast owners Which French Holidays is a natural fit.
Gite villa and cottage owners is what we are and where we started.
Because of the structure of Which French Holidays users and providers alike benefit from this cross pollination.
